Celebrating 40 Years of the Game in Soccer City USA

For 40 years, Tursi Soccer has been part of Portland’s soccer fabric.

Generations of players have walked through those doors. Youth players buying their first boots. Club teams preparing for tournaments. Families passing the game down to the next generation. For many in the community, a trip to Tursi is part of the journey into the sport.

To celebrate Tursi Soccer’s 40th anniversary, Grafletics partnered with the Portland soccer retailer to create a collection rooted in legacy. The goal was to honor four decades of player development, community impact, and commitment to the craft of the game in Soccer City USA.

A Visual Identity Built Around the Shield

The visual identity of the collection begins with the shield, created to forge a visual bond between Tursi, Portland, and Soccer City USA.

Another way to describe the shield is that, much like the rug in The Big Lebowski, it ties the room together.

The mark serves as the cornerstone of the collection’s trim pack, appearing across the inside and outside labeling system as well as on the premium hangtag. It acts as the connective tissue that links every garment back to the story behind the collaboration.

Supporting the mark is a retro Soccer City USA script, a stylized Tursi logo, and a set of classic silhouettes that feel both timeless and rooted in the culture of the game.

Designed to Feel Earned

To compound the throwback feel, we deployed a garment palette built around faded blacks, asphalt, vintage whites, washed pine green, and burgundy.

The result is a 15-piece collection designed with intention. Each piece reflects the heritage of Portland soccer and the generations of players who have come through the city’s clubs, fields, and communities.

This is gear meant to feel earned.

Honoring 100 Years at 1844 SW Morrison St.

Alongside the anniversary collection, we also created a capsule assortment celebrating 100 years at 1844 SW Morrison St., the historic home of Soccer City USA in Portland.

For a full century, that address has been part of Portland’s soccer story. Players, supporters, and families have walked through those doors for generations. Few places in American soccer carry that kind of continuity.

This capsule honors that place.
