ALL DAME DAY
The first Grafletics collection was inspired by my experience of watching and playing basketball in Portland. I made and sold five t-shirts themed around my love for hoops and the Rose City. One of the original five tees was ALL DAME DAY. It was a released a few months before a historic Portland sports moment known as “The Shot”. I remember it like yesterday, sitting in my living room, jumping up-and-down like a maniac. I’m pretty sure I woke my daughter up too. She was two-months old, it was worth it!
The original version of this t-shirt, was also black, but with a red and white screen print. We've bought it back, but this time with gold – representing attributes I admire on and off the court: consistency and standing the test of time. As I sit here and write, Dame just hit another game winner, this time against Phoenix. It’s truly been awesome watching him play over the years, I can’t help but think the best is yet to come.
